It has often been portrayed that narcissistic people are merely self-centered and full of themselves. Narcissists are known for consistently screaming “me me me” till you eventually forget all about you. But it wasn’t until having dated a particular someone that I realized just how serious this thing can get.

What I learned about Narcissism

After my experiences, I did my research and was able to grasp the many potential layers to someone driven by narcissism. Subsequently, I became more understanding of those who suffer from the so called disorder. But I never regretted my decisions to remove myself from the prolonged presence of anyone overwhelmed by narcissistic traits.

Arguably the most challenging part about identifying a narcissistic person can be deciphering whether or not they are indeed narcissistic or just crazy. This is because half the times they may think that they are crazy and the other half they may try to convince you that the craziness is all on you. But essentially it’s all a big part of a ploy to keep you guessing and in a constant state of flux.

A good article about how to spot Narcissism

The article below is one of the better ones I came across. It can easily and quickly enlighten you about narcissistic personality traits. Hint: don’t ever let someone start to make you think that you’re the crazy one when you know you’re not.

Also, as it turned out, that ex I referred to at the start of this article wasn’t narcissistic. It was a much more serious problem, which you can read about HERE.
